Our team includes a mix of people who prefer the open office plan and those who need privacy to focus so we created an environment that utilizes both closed door offices, open workstations and focus rooms. Given our extraordinary growth in the market, it was critical that our office could adapt and expand while staying consistent with corporate initiatives.
We engaged stakeholders from across all departments to best understand their specific working styles and future needs. The best ideas were embraced and adopted for the final design and completion of our new office, incorporating each department’s feedback and adhering to our larger corporate objectives.
Ensuring comfort and collaboration
A continual band of floor to ceiling glass boasts maximum natural light and supports productivity and workplace wellness. Comfortable communal spaces are located strategically throughout the office for casual conversation and brainstorming. Other communal areas important to our team include a wellness room and open kitchen with a daily fresh market.
Offering technology and innovation
The main reception area features an oversized, innovative digital touch screen for interactive presentations while the conference rooms, focus rooms and collaborative open spaces hold the latest interactive technology for connecting with clients and teams globally.
Incorporating local elements and honoring our legacy
Graphic elements highlighting the Greater Baltimore region appear throughout the space. For example, Baltimore street maps are fixed on the glass conference room fronts for privacy, while clippings of local newspaper headlines decorate the ceiling in the kitchen and collaborative areas. Offices are located along the interior wall, preserving the unobstructed panoramic views of the Baltimore Inner Harbor. Wood ceilings throughout the space give a nod to Baltimore’s shipping industry.
