We’re using advanced technology to create a more human workspace where our people can shape rather than be confined by the space. Using data such as employee satisfaction survey results to inform our decision-making, we’re directing our workplace experience to foster mindfulness and physical wellness, and dramatically reduce noise and distraction – a combination that creates overall wellbeing. This healthy, welcoming environment will instill pride in being part of a top-notch organization that cares about its employees.
Working in a green office space has important health and wellness benefits. To create a healthy environment that uses resources with care and supports long-term ecological balance, our office will achieve LEED Certification, a designation of the U.S. Green Building Council. We’re also using the JLL Green + Productive Workplace tool to benchmark and measure green productivity enhancers in our workplace, and see how we compare to JLL offices and industry peers.
With our new adjustable LED lighting, employees can control the brightness above their desks as requirements change. This will not only make working more enjoyable, it also will help save energy. Plus we’re installing daylighting controls to help our space operate more efficiently. If employees are sitting close to a window, the lights don’t turn on as brightly as elsewhere, thanks to a 100 percent dimming factor. They’ll get just the right lightning – a tremendous productivity booster and energy saver.
Nobody likes a confining cubeland that prevents movement. We’re letting our employees move about freely – by changing workstations (from an adjustable-height desk to a phone room, for example) or changing positions (sitting to standing) – so they can work in ways that help them feel great. That leads to more productivity and collaboration, and will make people want to spend time at the office.
A productive workplace is more than an office. There should be room for fun and camaraderie, places to find privacy, and spaces to celebrate milestones and successes. Our Club, Cafés and other collaborative spaces deliver all of the above. That’s important because our business is about our people, and great things happen when they come together.
Work is stressful enough without the constant distraction of other conversations. Watch our video poking fun at noise pollution and the hunger for privacy. Then check out how our new space will once again make silence golden.Read More
